Frequently asked questions

Q1: What is Interactive Metronome (IM)?

A: IM is a brain training program that improves timing, attention, and coordination through rhythmic exercises monitored by sensors. It’s used by therapists worldwide to support cognitive and motor skills.

Q2: How long does the IM-Home program take?

A: Most programs last minimum 12 weeks, with training sessions 4-5 times per week, typically lasting 30–45 minutes each.

Q3: What equipment do I need for IM at Home?

A: You’ll need to purchase a IM home unit under our IM practitioner license. You will also need Windows PC or laptop, headphones (wired, not Bluetooth).  We assist with setup and equipment options. We will discuss this during your initial consultation.

Q4: Is IM training suitable for adults?

A: Absolutely! IM benefits people of all ages—from kids with developmental challenges to adults recovering from brain injury or looking to improve cognitive function.

Q5: How is progress tracked?

A: The IM software tracks your timing and accuracy during sessions. Your IM therapist reviews the data remotely and adjusts your program weekly to optimize results.

Q6: Can I do IM without a therapist?

A: While the software can be used independently, clinician guidance significantly improves outcomes by personalizing your plan and monitoring progress.

Q7: Is the program covered by insurance?

Unfortunately not. The services are paid privately.
